The core of the HUDSON is cut as one continuous piece of full-grain, 8-IOoz, vegetable tanned leather. Its folded design results in very few seams, strengthening its load and use capacities. The leather is deeply seasoned with oils, waxes, and tallows to persevere through whatever elements you encounter. Solid brass hardware is used for all linkage and buckling - just like your Grandfather’s cart horse harnesses.

Our HIDESMAN belt meets you where you are at. The slider buckle is cut from your choice of quarter inch thick solid brass, copper, stainless steel, or blackened cold rolled steel and allows you to hold YOUR pants against YOUR waist.
Never too tight, never too loose.
Let us know your waist size (pant size) and we will go from there. The full-grain, vegetable tanned belt leather is an inch and a half wide, and ten to twelve ounces thick. We believe you will find it to be a most comfortable Belt.

There is no adjustment lacing to figure out, no buckle to nick your instrument, no stitching to unravel, just one cut of beautiful full grain, tumbled, supple, veg-tanned bovine. Simply let us know the length you would like from endpin to endpin.
Your strap measures two and three quarters inches where it rests on your trap and comes in two tempers: Backstrap and Brisket. Both lay gently over the shoulder.
BACKSTRAP: cut from the spine section of the hide where the grain runs more vertically throughout the leather resulting in a fuller temper and graceful flow. It is a premium cut of leather as only a few can be drawn from each side.
BRISKET: cut from the more flexible sections of the hide where the grain begins to lean horizontally throughout the leather resulting in a softer temper and more pliable drape.
the OLIVIA is designed to be a single pocket bag that closes on itself when carried. It’s simple lines are hewn from one continuous piece of full-grain, 7oz, vegetable tanned leather which will mature beautifully with use and time. the solid brass hardware will develop an aged patina, and the leather’s buffed interior is gentle to the touch.
The Olivia is crafted in two sizes and is hand-oiled to find four shades. From lightest to darkest they are:
Aspen, Hawthorn, Cedar, and Padauk.
THe Cross body straps are adjustable and are available in widths of one and a half inches (double O-ring cinch), and one inch (double loop slider). The OLIVIA (LS) strap measures at three quarters of an inch with a double loop slider.
We make each OLIVIA at the time of order so that we can customize your favorite size, hue, strap, and right/left carry preference. The darker the color, the longer the oiling process will need. when everything is just right, your satchel will be ready to ship!
